Project Description
This unique home is located on an island in a northern maritime province. The residence and support structures were constructed by skilled local craftsman using local materials. Traditional program elements are combined with an open floor plan capturing the 360 degree panoramic views of the lake beyond. The extensive covered porch area features a built-in stone masonry fireplace which permits comfortable usage of the area during the evening and inclement weather periods. The interior wood paneling and finish trim surfaces employ the milled wood cut directly from the island site.
